Asil Beluga Caviar is farmed in the fresh waters of the Caspian Sea and is imported from Iran. The Huso Huso sturgeon fish that makes Beluga Caviar is the largest species of sturgeon fish which is also difficult to breed in other regions.

Beluga caviar comes from the Beluga sturgeon (Huso huso), which is native to the Caspian Sea and parts of the Black Sea. It's considered one of the most prestigious and luxurious types of caviar due to its large, delicate eggs and rich, buttery flavour. Beluga caviar is renowned for its large, smooth grains, which can range in colour from pale grey to black. The flavour is often described as creamy and mellow, with a subtle, nutty undertone.

Because of its size and luxurious texture, it's often seen as the pinnacle of caviar varieties. Due to overfishing and the declining population of Beluga sturgeon, caviar has become rarer and more expensive. In some regions, regulations have restricted the import of Beluga caviar to help protect the sturgeon population, making it a rare and highly sought-after delicacy.

It will be a long wait for locally grown Sturgeon Caviar, but Montello Gourmet Caviar lovers can purchase CASPIAN SEA Caviar, with a new shipment of CASPIAN BELUGA and OSETRA available now!
